David is a passionate health care professional with a strong desire to care for his community.  He obtained his BScN and completed the Primary Healthcare Nurse Practitioner Program from Laurentian University.

Andrew Suffel, RPN

Andrew has been a Register Practical Nurse with the Algoma NPLC since early 2014.  He has over 9 year’ experience in healthcare.

Velvet Redmond-Harten, RPN

Velvet has been a Registerd Practical Nurse with the Algoma NPLC since it’s opening day in 2011.  She has over 30 years’ experience in her field.

Administrative Staff

Sandra Dereski, Administrative Lead

Sandra has been working in primary healthcare administration since 2007 when she obtained her Bachelor of Health Science degree from the University of Western Ontario with a specialization in Rural Health Policy. In 2014, she completed her Masters of Health Studies Leadership degree to further her knowledge and expertise in leading health care organizations. She was the Executive Director for the Wawa FHT prior to relocating to the Sault to work with the Algoma NPLC. She is an advocate for positive change management and loves being a part of this dynamic team.

Lisa Ash, Administrative Assistant

Lisa has been the Administrative Assistant at the Algoma NPLC since September 2014.  She is passionate about life and cultivating a positive environment for everyone around her.  In fact, you will often hear her boisterous laugh throughout the Clinic.  Lisa is considered the ‘jack-of-all-trades’ and is always available to assist with any questions regarding the Algoma NPLC and the programs offered here.

Ashley Hall, Medical Receptionist

Ashley is the Medical Receptionist at the Clinic, more favorably known as the Director of First Impressions. She is the smiling face that greets you when you come in. Ashley has been working in the medical field for almost 9 years. When Ashley is not at the Clinic she can be found cross country skiing at Hiawatha, downhill skiing at Searchmont or riding her bike along the Sault Ste. Marie Hub Trail.
